Fees & Funding

  • Fees are calculated on the basis of 51 weeks.

    All absences, including sickness and holidays, are paid for at the full rate.

    Nursery (3 months – 3 years)

    Full Day - 8.00 am : 6.00 pm - £80.00

    Pre-School (3 Years – 5 years)

    Full Day - 8.00 am : 6.00 pm - £80.00

    Pre School Mornings Session - 8.00 am : 1.00 pm - £55.00

    Fees include enhanced provision, breakfast, morning snack, cooked lunch and afternoon tea.

    Fees are reviewed on an annual basis.

  • All 3 & 4 year old pre-school children are entitled to up to 15 hours free funding per week as part of the early years entitlement scheme (the EYFE) from the term after their third birthday. We also offer 15 hours additional pre-school funding. (extended funding) This is available to all working eligible families. Please visit www.beststartinlife.gov.uk where you will find additional information on 30 hours funding and 15 hour funding and if you are eligible for these schemes.

    In addition we offer 9 month and 2 year old extended funding for all working eligible families - please also use www.beststartinlife.gov.uk for more information.

    If you have a 2 year old child in care, adopted, has an education health and care plan in place or other support function in place please also visit www.beststartinlife.gov.uk as you may be covered and entitled to 2-year-old funding.

    Funding is based on 38 weeks of the year giving entitled families up to 570 or 1140 hours respectively per year. Fawn & Fern offers funding stretched over the 51 weeks that we are open which means you will receive up to 11 or 22 hours every week of the year, not exceeding 570 or 1140 hours.

  • The Nursery will be closed on Bank Holidays, which has been taken into account when the fees have been calculated, these days are charged at full rate.

    The Nursery will be closed for 5 working days over the Christmas and New Year period.

    This year we will be closing at 4.00 pm on Tuesday 22nd December 2026 and re-opening at 8.00 am Monday 4th January 2027.
