The Hill offers children a vast and exciting natural space to explore throughout the year, providing endless opportunities for rich learning experiences. In the summer, children delight in rolling down the grassy slopes, while in the winter they embrace the elements, splashing through muddy puddles. This ever-changing environment encourages children to build confidence, develop their physical skills, and expand their imaginations through adventurous, open-ended play.

The Hill

Our decking area provides babies with a safe, secure, and welcoming introduction to outdoor free flow play. It creates the perfect space for little ones to begin exploring beyond the indoors, supporting key physical milestones such as crawling, standing, cruising, and taking their first steps in a calm and supportive environment.

The Decking

Ella’s Garden is designed to inspire movement, challenge, and active play. With ample space to run and explore, children can access climbing equipment and take part in group activities that promote coordination, strength, and teamwork. This area encourages children to challenge themselves and develop resilience through physical experiences.

Ella’s Garden

Our Pre-School Garden is a spacious, all-year-round environment that supports children’s individual learning and development. Here, children are free to play, explore, and solve problems in ways that suit their interests and abilities. We encourage children to understand and manage safe risk, helping them to build confidence, independence, and strong decision-making skills as they prepare for school.

The Orchard and allotments nurture children’s natural curiosity and provide meaningful, hands-on learning experiences where maths and science come to life. By growing vegetables and collecting fruit, children develop an understanding of healthy eating and where food comes from. These experiences are often extended into role play and mud kitchen activities, encouraging creativity, imagination, and critical thinking across all areas of learning.
